PHOENIX FORGE
PROJECT BRIEF:This project required us to create a marketing video that could showcase not only the services provided by a local steel forge but also the craftsmanship involved. Phoenix Forge is a bespoke metalwork and blacksmiths business based in Carmarthen, specialising in traditional and contemporary metalwork.
We decided we wanted a marketing video that was completely different to what you might expect, so we used slow motion, poetry and soundscaping to capture a sense of artistry instead of industry.

This video was challenging in many ways due to the environment we were filming in. With the machinery, fire and sparks all around we had to work really hard to ensure our crew were safe and minimise the risk to our equipment.
For this project we had to storyboard our ideas, source music and poetry and carry out extensive risk assessments, as well as all the filming and editing. The risks that came with making this video were more than worth it and the finished project is better then we ever imagined.
