In order to use slowmotion footage but maintain a dynamic rhythm we chose a track of stomps and claps, rather than a song with a traditional melody. This allowed up to play with speed ramping and quick edits where necessary. We interviewed various people, from the organisers and event representatives, to competitors and audience, in order to truly represent the atmosphere of the day. Using our MoVI M15 allowed us to smoothly track the fast paced movements of all the competitors. We also set up a time lapse to capture the set up and various events throughout the day.
When selecting the footage for the video, we made sure we had a good spread of ages and events, to show that Release the Movement is an inclusive event, open to people of all ages, abilities and disciplines. The result is a video that really captures the best of the event and shows the talent of those involved.
