OFFICE HEALTH & SAFETY
For this project we needed to produce a video underlining the unseen health risks in an office environment and how best to address them. This video is significantly different to others due to the need to produce a Welsh version and include animated sequences.
With this video we decided not to overload the audience with too much information and selected just four health
risks – toner and chemicals, ventilation, posture and eye-strain.
The most challenging aspect of this video was producing the animated sequences. These required various techniques and many man-hours to ensure they were not only scientifically accurate, but also of the same quality as the filmed sequences. This project had a turnaround of one week and time was tight. We needed to script, storyboard and film the video as well as leaving time for rendering, modelling, texturing and animation.
This video also required us to find a voice over actor that could speak fluent English and Welsh. This presented its own set of challenges, as the structure and rhythm of both languages are so different. It meant adjusting the time line of the video and required greater refinement in the editing stages to ensure the narration matched the on screen visuals.
The finished project was resounding success and our clients were blown away by the professionalism and complexity of a video with such a short turnaround.
